Cultivating Local Systems of Resilience
Beanstalk Power Builds Local Infrastructure of Food Sovereignty and Community Empowerment
Ecosystems of Resilience: Food, Energy, and Opportunity
Our regenerative business model compounds community benefits by integrating innovations that amplify the production of essential resources—food, energy, water, and transportation—while offering education that cultivates economic opportunity.
Beanstalk Power Community Hubs offers an ecosystem of services by integrating containerized vertical farms, solar energy, transportation, education, and events. The modular hubs are designed to serve as oases in urban or rural neighborhoods, resources for university campuses or hospitals, installations in vacant lots or church parking lots, or components of an emergency response system.
Rising Costs, Rising Solutions: The Case for Beanstalk Power Hubs Now
Prices are rising—and the systems we rely on aren't keeping up
As the cost of basic needs continues to climb, it is clear that communities need local infrastructure now.
In just five years, food prices have increased by 16% in the U.S. (and 18% in Los Angeles), while electricity costs have jumped 32% nationally (23% in L.A.).
The burden is growing—but so is the opportunity to localize and regenerate. Beanstalk Power Hubs are a platform for upward mobility.
By combining indoor vertical farming with solar energy in a closed loop system, our hubs can grow 100 x more food than a traditional farm while using 99% less water and can operate on or off grid. With food grown locally and indoors, it remains protected from global economic volatility, policy shifts, and weather disruptions—keeping costs stable and supply secure.
Solar panels, battery storage, and energy management infrastructure form the backbone of each site, reducing emissions while enhancing local grid resilience and building toward energy equity.
Each hub is co-designed in partnership with local organizations and tailored to meet the needs of its neighborhood. We also organize free food events, creating opportunities for nourishment, connection, and joy.
